Calling all Wagner High 75-80 Alumni!

It's hard to believe that the Washington D.C. Reunion was in 2011. Time has flown by and it's time to start planning the 2016 Wagner 75-80 Reunion.

Gigi Hensley McCombe, Valerie Moore Andrews, Teri Self Hamilton and Nina Pierce Baker (all '77) have volunteered to take on the organization of the next big reunion.

There have been mentions of several options: another weekend in a major stateside city, a cruise, or an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean or Mexico.

Some folks get seasick. Some don't have passports. So, we opted to investigate several major cities that were easily accessible to everyone and that most everyone would enjoy visiting. Since the majority of our alumni live in California and Texas, we looked at Austin and San Diego.

We decided to keep the reunion the same weekend (4th of July) that it's been the past few times as that seems to work out well for most people. We also decided on San Diego since that would make the organization easier for the Reunion Committee.

Before we commit to signing any contracts, we'd like to know who all would be interested in coming and whether you would be willing to plunk down a $50.00 non-refundable deposit. The $50 deposit is to put toward the $5,000 deposit that the hotel requires to hold the date and the rooms, and will be credited toward your total reunion fee.

This is what we're looking at right now - a three day event from July 1 through July 3, 2016.

July 1-3, 2016
Friday - Sunday
San Diego, CA
Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina
Approximate Reunion Fee = $350 per person
Approximate hotel room cost  = $150/night

We chose the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina due to its location right on the Harbor, a great room rate, the free airport shuttle, and the easy accessiblity to downtown via the Big Bay Shuttle.

We're thinking of having a 3-day versus 4-day event and trying to keep the expenses as low as possible.

If you're interested in coming, please take the time to fill out this quick survey, so we can get a handle on the numbers involved and who is interested. Although this is a reunion of our 75-80 group, any Wagner Alumni and staff who are friends may attend as well.

Also, many of my email addresses are out of date, so please forward this to any alumni you know that may be interested in attending.
